The Maintenance Mechanic position requires a skilled maintenance mechanic to inspect and repair material handling equipment and minor building repairs. Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.

Requirements:
â?¢Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
â?¢Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
â?¢Sound understanding of using all electrical testing and repair of Material Handling equipment.
â?¢Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools.
â?¢Ability to operate a forklift.
â?¢Should follow oral or written instructions.
â?¢Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
â?¢High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education
â?¢Ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time.
Responsibilities:
â?¢Regular inspection of all electrical and power units of a facility.
â?¢Detecting malfunctions and defects in electrical systems and vehicle engines and repairing the same.
â?¢Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while conducting work functions.
â?¢Maintaining a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted.
â?¢Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority.
â?¢Reporting damages, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical units to the supervising manager.
â?¢Placing orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation for the same.
â?¢Appropriately using and handling all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment.
â?¢Light building maintenance repairs. Changing bulbs, painting, caulking, etc.
â?¢Daily inventory counts
â?¢Moving equipment from building to another building
â?¢Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
â?¢Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
â?¢Other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate $ 25 - $32 Depending on experience
